Green Anji Tea Review

green anji tea

Probably one of Adagio's most robust greens, green anji produces a cup of tea that is light green in color which yields a soothing and mellow aroma and flavor. Aside from the Sencha teas, currently this is one of their more "vegetal" varieties.

This loose leaf green tea is perfect as an afternoon cup and will also go well chilled when enjoying iced tea due to its more stronger taste. For folks who love grassy green teas, this variety is one of the top choices. The flavor is not overpowering, and has a perfect balance of depth and aftertaste.

Brewing this tea is not so tricky either. The instructions on the tin (steaming water for 3 minutes) is perfect. No need to guess with this one. If you prefer an even stronger cup add more leaves rather than steeping longer. Adding fresh ginger to this beverage also goes great as the tasteful notes from each mix well. Half a teaspoon of honey also picks it up too. Despite its robust flavor, it is a very versatile green.

Definitely a Chinese tea worth steeping!
