Irish Breakfast tea from Adagio Teas is one of their highest ranking black teas, averaging a score of 4.5 - 4.6.; a 5 as the best (at the time of this writing).
However, I feel that this tea is just average. It does make a nice cup of breakfast tea with a nice well-balanced mix of malty and citrus flavor, but it is nothing to rave about. This tea is a combination of Ceylon and Assam tea with one ingredient missing...Kenya tea.
But that's ok...it still holds its own against other rivals out there, and both the aroma and flavor is still far superior than any tea bag brewed beverage! If you haven't sampled Irish Breakfast yet and like an average cup of black tea that is not smoky or overpowering...then this is a nice choice
Others to consider are "Golden Monkey" and "Assam Melody". They too make a tasty cup!
