Mighty Leaf Tea is definitely right up there with Adagio Teas, with some varieties even beating Adagio in overall quality. In fact, for the more seasoned tea drinker Mighty Leaf may very well be the next step up from Adagio Teas.
There is something very fresh about their loose teas, and from the minute you open up the zip lock-styled packaging the aroma that greets you shouts QUALITY in every way. The color of the tea is awesome and alive, and you can tell that the flavor will be very delightful.
Ok, not to sell this tea shop too hard, but I do indeed like Mighty Leaf's product! Remember, up until the very time of this writing (2/2/09) I've had tried over 150+ varieties of teas from many merchants both on and off the net.
Now although I do not pass myself off as a tea expert...I know quality when I see and taste it, and believe that my visitors who are reading this will enjoy the loose teas sold by this merchant. Up until now, I have sampled 10 varieties and have been pleased with each one.
Here is what to expect when you buy tea from Mighty Leaf:
once ordered your tea will ship promptly, in most cases the next day
the teas are housed in soft resealable plastic pouches
they come with handy measuring scopes inside each pouch
the tea also includes steeping times on back of pouch (but not water temp.)
the color, aroma, and flavor of the tea is fresh and of great quality
The tea pouches may be a bit more bulky than Adagio's convenient tins, with the average size of 4 ounces, so you may need to make a little extra room inside your tea cupboard.
Having mentioned that, one thing I found disappointing about Mighty Leaf is that they do not offer many sample sizes of their teas, and have narrowed it down to a select few. For folks who shop at Adagio's tea store may be familiar with the small 10-cup-serving tins they have available for every single variety.
This is a very inexpensive way to filter out what varieties people like and dislike. That alone makes Adagio a better place for newcomers to start their journey. Shopping at Mighty Leaf Tea may be more for the experienced tea drinker who are already familiar with varieties, and can afford to go more bulk.
Aside from that, this tea shop remains one of my favorite places to buy tea online. They have a very clean and professional look and feel, fast site loading and easy site navigation, and a secure order page.
They have white tea, green tea, black tea, oolong tea, herbal tea, and flavored tea…along with accessories, teaware, and wellness products.
Out of all the tea merchants on the net, I give Mighty Leaf Tea two thumbs up and recommend all fans of loose tea check them out!
