Pi Lo Chun Green Tea Review

pi lo chun green tea

Pi Lo Chun (or green snail spring) loose leaf green tea is a well-balanced cup of green. It brews a soft yet robust cup that is probably, in my opinion, one of Adagio's best Chinese greens. (hmmm...can I say "soft" and "robust"?)

Brewing this tea the correct way is important! This is another variety where you definitely want to watch your temperature and steeping time. However, once brewed to perfection, this tea makes a very pleasing cup of green.

I found that there is a "zone" with this tea, meaning, that for a couple of minutes when the liquor is at a very warm, (not hot) level, the tea's full body and overall potential is at its best. Once it starts to cool, some slight fuzziness starts to tickle the palate, so avoid letting it idle and drink it while it's still steaming!

If any green tea should be purchased in a larger size, Pi Lo Chun would be on that list. Folks will find this tea to be a smooth and gentle cup of green.

(please let me know what you think of this variety, good or bad...email a comment for posting!)
