The Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

Probably one of the most used and manufactured kettles, a stainless steel tea kettle is a practical choice for folks who brew many cups of tea 24/7.

Unlike a copper tea kettle which can leave a metal taste in your cup, a stainless steel kettle will not tarnish the water with an undertone. Like the advantage of a glass kettle, it will boil nothing but fresh tasting water, providing that you use such water like well filtered water.

Another good thing about stainless steel tea kettles is that they will last a very long time. Glass and copper kettles have a much shorter lifespan, and in a case like glass it can be dangerous when it eventually becomes brittle.

As far is how quickly it will heat your water, it usually takes more time when compared to a copper kettle, but this also depends on the thickness and quality of your stainless steel too.

Some tea kettles made from stainless steel will boil faster than others, as well as be more expensive. Cleaning them however is very easy and quick.

They can come in a wide variety of colors as well as shapes and sizes. The colored ones usually have a strong enamel around the outside, yet on the inside have only steel. Most will also come with a whistler as well.

So although these kettles may not have been the first material type used, today they make an excellent piece of teaware that also makes a great gift idea!

They are rugged, will boil fast, can be used on both electric and gas stoves, and will more than likely last a lifetime or two!
