First off, try and avoid getting tea bags as tea gifts, these are no way to impress guests when choosing tea as your present. Loose tea is the way to go, offers better quality, and is truly unique. They are not sold here directly, but I recommend Adagio Teas as your supplier. They are one of the most popular and reputable shops on the net and offer great shipping times. So, what tea favors should you get?
There are four types of tea, white, green, oolong, and black. Each one offers a different color, aroma, and flavor. White tea is usually on the airy side, with subtle sweet vegetal notes. Green tea has more mellow vegetal tones that are a bit stronger, but not overwhelmingly grassy.
Oolong tea has sort of a woody and floral flavor, and black tea is more malty, earthy, and slightly tarty. There are also some assortments of loose herbal teas that would make great gifts as well.
Each tin is small and will be personalized to your named details. On average, they will make around 10 cups of tea. I have listed what is currently offered below: White Tea
"Snowbud" Green Tea
"Apricot Green" Oolong Tea
"Almond Oolong" Black Tea
"Chocolate" Herbal Tea
"Blood Orange"
There are also decaffeinated varieties offered as well. Once again, for more information and purchasing options visit Adagio Teas main site by Clicking Here
Special note: you may want to include some loose leaf brewing bags so that your guests have a way to brew their tea. Adagio sells 100 tea sacks for $3 a box. Why Choose Loose Tea As Your Tea Favors?
The simple reason is because loose tea offers a better quality cup! Tea bagged tea brews up a cup that is not as flavorsome as loose leaf.
Remember, most tea bags are made from "Fannings" which are nothing more than dried up pieces of tea dust. Even some gourmet loose tea bags consist of small leaves, and while they may look more impressive, they still don't beat the real thing! Loose tea also contains more antioxidants and plant polyphenols which are responsible for tea’s great health benefits. With proper brewing and care, loose tea can provide a lifetime of drinking enjoyment! Also see... How To Prepare Loose Tea
